Hey guys!

Some good news: I'm done with college now! I did my percussion senior recital last Monday (it's like a final exam, but it's a performance), and all my other exams are done. Yay! The graduation ceremony is on Saturday.

I think I might have a job already lined up for the summer break, too. One of my family members works there and it sounds like the manager might hold a spot for me on the summer crew. That would be awesome!

I mentioned it briefly in a previous journal, but I was rushed and stressed back then -- I've been accepted to the JET Program! That means I'll get to go to Japan to teach English to young students. I don't know where exactly I'll be placed or what level I'll be teaching (it could be anywhere from elementary to high school), but I should be getting that information within a few weeks.

I have always loved language, so to think that I could have a career with it is so exciting. And who knows what will happen after JET (which has a limit of five years) -- maybe I'll be a translator, or working with international relations... or maybe I'll love teaching so much that I'll just keep doing it at another school! Teaching seems to run in my family... I'll be the fourth one to join that field
